Mexican acoustic rock duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela are offering fans the first song from their forthcoming album ‘Area 52’ at their official website. ‘Juan Loco’, which is also available to listen to below, features a 13-piece Cuban orchestra and jazz bassist Carles Benavent. The new album is due for release on 23rd January.

Multi-platinum rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers will be 2012 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, which honours legendary artists who have defined rock and roll and have inspired and continue to inspire a generation. The recently-reformed Stone Roses have added yet another European festival to their 2012 reunion dates with a headlining set at next year’s Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway. This is the third Scandinavian festival to confirm the addition of the Manchester group since last week’s announcements by NorthSide Festival in Denmark and Sweden’s Hultsfred Festival.
